Overview

HintFlix is a multiplayer movie guessing game. This policy describes what data we process to operate gameplay, improve quality, and support users.

Data we process

Player-provided room code and display name.
Gameplay events such as ready status, picks, buzzes, answers, and scores.
Optional voice answer recordings and transcripts when voice mode is used.
Basic technical logs needed for reliability and abuse prevention.

How data is used

Run and synchronize live multiplayer gameplay.
Generate hints, narration, and scoring outcomes.
Troubleshoot errors, improve performance, and secure the service.

Third-party services

HintFlix uses third-party APIs for AI features and movie metadata. These providers may process request content required to provide their service.

Retention

Game room state and cached media are retained only as long as needed for gameplay and operational reliability, then removed based on server-side expiration rules.
